ABOUT SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON

The Illinois Psi-Omega Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Northwestern University was founded in 1894 by Harry Bunting with a commitment to fostering friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service. Since its establishment, the chapter has grown into one of the most prominent fraternities on Northwestern's campus. With a strong base of active members and an expansive network of dedicated alumni, Sigma Alpha Epsilon offers its brothers not only meaningful friendships but also valuable professional connections that extend far beyond their time in college. The chapter continues to uphold a tradition of excellence, consistently striving to embody the core values of the national organization through the achievements of its members.

The men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Northwestern represent a diverse and well-rounded group, actively engaged across a wide range of academic disciplines and extracurricular activities. Members are involved in campus leadership, student organizations, athletics, community service, and professional development initiatives. On any given weekend, brothers might be preparing for exams together, competing in intramural sports, volunteering with local organizations, or simply spending time building the bonds that define the fraternity experience.

As a national organization, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the largest and oldest national social fraternities in the United States, with its national headquarters, the Levere Memorial Temple, located just steps away from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House.
